What A Book !!!  Reviewer: SS Houston (USA)

From page one, I was whisked away to another place and another time and page after page I felt as though I was there with the characters watching them, helping them, and sharing their daily lives. I was so engrossed and in touch with each character's feelings that I found that I would laugh out loud, cry with and for them, and felt pride for them with each accomplishment. The antics of Warrior Mayner and Warrior Burr will keep you laughing and keep you guessing. As Athena, the 3rd New One, fights for her rightful place in Atlantis, I took every punch and every kick with her. As Daisy, 4 almost 5, trains her Flower Warriors, I felt her pride and joy in her every accomplishment. Lord Priest, the 1st New One, and his son, Lord Beast, the 2nd New One, share a bond that is rare and forever lasting. It is a love and respect that seems to be missing in our world today. We can all learn from them. There is no way that I can tell you all the wonderful aspects of this book or tell you enough about each and every character. By the time you are into chapter 2, they are no longer characters they are people. They come to life as you learn more and more about each one. This is a FANTASTIC, EXCITING, MARVELOUSLY INSPIRING & ENTERTAINING book. You will learn something about yourself and/or about what is right and wrong, some where in these pages there is a lesson for everyone. You will not be disappointed in this book!!! The author, Judy Prudhomme, writes the truth, "You will not want this book to end!" Personally, I am ready for the next one.

Heaven on Earth  Reviewer: B.Wayne (Texas)

EXTRAORDINARY!!! If you've ever dreamed of a place where you could live without fear, nourish your children "and" offers you the opportunity to be a part of something wonderful, no matter what gender or race--you have just entered the realm of the legendary Atlantis. You won't be able to put this book down--it's 700 pages--you will fly right through it. Rarely, especially today, is there a place where rulers are worshipped by their own people; however, in this magical place the reverse is true. The Rulers (New Ones) love and protect their people at all costs. This is a book about Warriors who are deadly, intelligent and tender. Their allegiance to Lord Beast (the king) and Atlantis is displayed with great nobility and humor. Lord Priest is a warrior/priest who is described as "chiseled black marble" extremely dangerous but beloved by the children. Athena is stunningly beautiful, smart and just as lethal as any of Atlantis' greatest warriors. All the characters are fully developed and the storyline is full of unusual surprises. Daisy, the little flower girl--steals every scene. It is interesting to see how Atlantean rulers deal with the same problems we have today with crime, education, and the spiritual element. This book also has the most interesting explanation of God and prayer I've ever read. The feeling of Atlantis is one of radiance, wholeness and harmony--a happy and industrious small town with huge ancient trees, white picket fences, squeaky clean streets and buildings nestled on a breathtakingly beautiful island. There's a surprise ending you'll never be able to figure out. I'm ready to move there--HOW ABOUT YOU?

Eccellente (Excellent Book)   Reviewer: BaronAMR

I enjoyed this book extremely much. I read it twice, many parts several times. Why? For many reasons. It captured my attention from first to last word. It intrigued my adventurous spirit and stimulated my imagination. It caused me to think and consider. I heartily laughed out loud. I wiped tears from my cheek. It made me angry. It made me think of God and consider why some misfortunate ones turn evil. A ghostly scene even scared me a bit and I am hard to scare. I am a man who must maintain strict personal control. To find a book that tugs at my emotions in such a way, I define as well written and very enjoyable. This book removed me from the stress of managing my family's empire and completely immersed me in another world; a world of protection and perfection. Lord Beast, the King, the second New One, the Warrior Leader, my favorite character, devotes his life, sacrifices everything for his country and people. His royal burdens and devotion speak loudly to me. Lord Beast's royal problems touch my heart. As with Lord Beast, there is definition and depth to all of the characters. This story is unique, unlike any tale of Atlantis you will ever read. I believe everyone will enjoy reading about Judy Prudhomme's Atlantis and these marvelous New Ones. True, I am very Italian. But I think this book transcends nationalities because it is a book full of courage, honor, goodness, love and God. Equally, if one enjoys adventures, romance, and is not offended by sex, he or she will enjoy this book as I did. In closing I will say, just as the author guarantees, I did not want this book to end. It makes me proud of what I do well and makes me reflect on what I might improve. Do I believe this magnificent book was written by a Seer? The bell of truth rang loudly and this Baron heard it well. Yes, I believe. I also believe that this book should be a movie so those who enjoy movies more than books can experience, enjoy and learn from The New Ones of Atlantis as I have. While I eagerly await Judy Prudhomme's next book, I am sure I will reread this book again. It has become my favorite conversation piece. I proudly display it on my desk in my office in Italy.

A Fascinating Entertaining Read   Reviewer: Signore L (Europe)

I received The New Ones of Atlantis as a gift from my cousin. He is a well-read scholar with an enormous library. He said I must read The New Ones of Atlantis and guaranteed that I would enjoy it as much as he did. He was right. It is my new library treasure.

Because it set a fire in us, we enjoy discussing it. Here are only a few reasons why we love it:
The first six chapters are a colorful and intriguing introduction to Atlantis told by a pirate, Captain Carver. In these few chapters, there is adventure, disaster, rescue, hate, perversion, honor, intrigue, fear, hunger, opulence, magic, mystery and God. I swear to you, I could not put this book down!
In Chapter 7, we leave Carver and are in Atlantis beginning a new adventure in the Valley of the Mighty 1,000, the army's practice area. By the end of the book, you will never want to leave this wonderful country and its kind happy people.
As I read, I saw the scenes and characters clearly in my head. My emotions stretched from pity to laughter at Poah, and hatred, disgust and a tiny bit of sympathy for Carver. I suffered with Athena during her bloody warrior challenge. What courage and determination! I felt Warrior Rie's frustration in his sexual pursuit of Athena (relentless and impassioned). I admired the honor of Warrior Burr and Warrior Mayner (they are a great balance of dangerous and hilarious). I am in awe of Lord Beast's inexhaustible dedication (all leaders could learn from this great king). I admire everything about Lord Priest and felt the holy spirit emanate from the pages when he spoke of God. I adore the little alien priest, Kleech, and think everyone needs a mother like Hena (Athena's mother). I cried with Daisy as she listened to Warrior Burr's secret (if I had a daughter, I would want Daisy). My heart pounded as I ran with Warrior Rie from the ghost in Lord Priest's scary mansion halls. I could hear the harbor bell ring, the cheers of the Atlanteans for Lord Beast and the band playing in the Dance Building.

These are only a few examples of the emotions and memories this book deposited within me. It was brilliant of the author, Judy Prudhomme, to make this such an easy read. In doing so, while I focused on the story, her technique of writing allowed me the opportunity to connect myself to her story and characters. Like a great artist, the author paints vivid, colorful images throughout her book. Like a magician, she entranced me with her descriptions. Her characters are alive and each scene is vibrantly mesmerizing. She set my imagination afire.
The story and characters beckoned as though they opened their arms specifically to me, welcomed me into their lives and into their Atlantis. It was intimate, spiritual, bawdy and passionate. As I read, I was drawn deeper and deeper inside. My emotions exploded. I laughed aloud. I cried unashamedly. I hated. I loved. My life connected to theirs. I felt I had found a new home and never wanted to leave. I could not stop reading.  I kept turning pages. I had to know what happened next.

The book gave me only one disappointment ... it ended. It was an excellent ending; still, it saddened me to touch the last page. I read it very slowly hoping to prolong its ending just a little longer. With a smile, I say, this author had better be busy writing the sequel!

I am a linguist, a translator of 7 languages. In any language, this book will translate as entertaining and compelling. The author has a special talent for creating a personal relationship between her reader and her Atlantean characters. It reaches beyond all social, moral and religious barriers because it is non-judgmental and it has commonality of all humans. We all want passion, honor, love and the joy of laughter. We all hate perversion, hunger, and cruelty. Your nationality, religion or social position does not matter; if you will read this book, you and I will share common emotions.

I am grateful that the author shared her Atlantis with me. Now, they are my Atlanteans too and they will forever be a part of my life. I believe this is the only true story of Atlantis and with all of my might I wish it to be true. As my cousin did to me, I am now doing to you. I am holding this book out to you saying, "Here, my friend, read this wonderful book. You will love it as much as I do. It is The New Ones of Atlantis by Judy Prudhomme."
