             Judy Prudhomme 

     With experience in magazine, radio, television, commercials, and professional singing, Judy Prudhomme closed her performance and modeling school, divorced, left her small Texas hometown and moved to Houston with her daughter, Stacey. 
     In two years, Judy secured a modeling instructor position, signed with a talent agency and was in a motion picture. During various performance, teaching and management jobs, she married current husband, A-Lee, a former band director. After Stacey began her business career, Judy and A-Lee toured as musicians, JC & Lee. 
     The Dream Seer, Atlantean author, lives in Houston and owns Wholesale Specialty Merchandise and Necessary Luxuries in the Galleria area.

     www.TheNewOnesofAtlantis is the web business for Judy Prudhomme’s novel, The New Ones of Atlantis. Judy has five (5) businesses based in Houston, Texas.
     
      (1) Judy began Wholesale Specialty Merchandise January 2000. Because of the growth of Judy’s second business, Necessary Luxuries, now the wholesale company’s major function is primarily to acquire wholesale products and sell them to her retail store.
      (2) April 15, 2004 Judy opened her retail store, Necessary Luxuries, at The Galleria in Houston, Texas. Judy’s husband, A-Lee Prudhomme, is the store manager. In Sept 2009, she moved Necessary Luxuries 10 minutes west of the Galleria. It is now located on Fondren between Westheimer and Richmond.
      Necessary Luxuries is Remington’s Authorized Sales and Service Dealer and Epilady’s National Warranty Center. Its main focus is personal grooming products for men and women. Necessary Luxuries sells name brand shavers, trimmers, clippers, curlers, blow dryers, etc. and also services and repairs them. The store is fashioned after the former Remington Products store, but with an expanded, more diverse product line. 
      Necessary Luxuries also sells, repairs and sharpens knives, daggers, and swords with a price point and quality to suit the avid collector with the most discerning taste, or the workman wanting a sturdy reasonably priced work or sports knife. The store also has a good selection of high-powered, self-defense stun guns and pepper spray.
      To add more diversity to the product base, the store offers a unique line of giftware that changes throughout the year depending on the holiday and season. Because of the unique clientele, the store always has an interesting selection of novelty chess sets, dragons, ships, pirates, fairies, etc. 
      For customers who are across the country or too elderly to come in, Necessary Luxuries has phone sales and service. If a customer needs a product shipped to them or a gift shipped across the country, if he/she needs a shaver repaired or serviced, Necessary Luxuries helps the customer over the phone and then uses mail to service their long distance needs. 
      (3) Judy began her third business selling on eBay. NecessaryLuxuries-Houston, the store's eBay name, sells shaver parts and shaver items. 
      (4) Judy’s fourth business is The New Ones of Atlantis. The book is its own business entity with its own individual legal status. She always says, "Lord Beast and I own The New Ones of Atlantis". 
      Judy wrote a series of books about Atlantis for six years. The New Ones of Atlantis is the first in the series and the first to be published. Judy has recently completed her second New Ones book and it is being edited. 
      Judy’s first book, The New Ones of Atlantis, was published April 2006. Judy received her first hard books in her Necessary Luxuries store on her 57th birthday. What a great birthday present! She also received news that same day from her daughter, Stacey, and son-in-law, Robert, that she was going to be the grandmother of twin girls. WOW! That was the best birthday ever! Judy is absolutely thrilled with twin grandaughters. Stacey is her only child and these are her first grandchildren. The babies were born January 2, 2007. They are Allyson Rynea and Melissa Judith. Allyson Rynea named after her mother, Stacey Rynea, and Melissa Judith named after her grandmother, Judith (Judy) Prudhomme. Judy says it is the greatest honor and tribute of love she has ever received.   
       Judy's work schedule is 7 days a week. Her normal workday is 14 to 18 hours a day. Judy is very proud of her little family, her book, and the businesses she and her loved ones have built together.       
      Necessary Luxuries is the home base for the sales and shipment of The New Ones of Atlantis books and CDs. All New Ones business is conducted from her Necessary Luxuries store in Houston. Business is fast-paced and exciting for Necessary Luxuries and The New Ones of Atlantis.  Books are displayed in the store with a 6’7” life-size standup of the book’s King. This gives the book great exposure, excellent advertising and boosts sales. In only a few days after the book went live (released by the publisher as a buyable commodity) The New Ones of Atlantis was picked up by 100 bookstores and 80,000 booksellers worldwide. WOW! 
      After six years of serious focus, suddenly, without notice, Judy turned on her computer and had 243 emails congratulating her on the book’s release, some asking questions about her or The New Ones of Atlantis. Some emails were comments from booksellers who had the book to sell. One was even from Japan, written mostly in Japanese, with the book’s price listed in yen. The whole time she was writing her books, she never once expected that.
